The Romantic Art of Bad Weather

So, once again I'm listening to Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance". Yep. . . no surprise there. And it kind of reminded me how Valentine's Day is this weekend and I'll be out of town. I was planning on making chocolates--yes, making chocolates--but I don't know what that kind of thing entails. Maybe I'll whip up some truffels. Man that makes chocolate truffel-making sound easy.
Fail for my Valentine's Day absense.
I don't know where this was going. I'm working on an art project right now. It's rather frustrating, as I was going to do a watercolor painting but realized it might be easier to use acrylics. I haven't used watercolor in such a long time.
I've kind of shied away from painting recently: I feel I control a pencil much better than a brush but I'm willing to tackle the medium again. I'm ready for the challenge.
And that sounds terribly cheesy.
So does the title of this post. Originally, it was called "Bad Romance, Bad Art, and Bad Weather" but I wanted to combine them a little better. Whatever.
It's snowing right now, and I've just been informed that there's gonna' be a snow day tomorrow. I'm so glad 'cause I hate Friday schedules and I have a lot of homework to finish before I leave on Thursday. We did a "snow day dance" in one of my classes today and I felt so stupid. I came home from school and watched my sister dance with the freezer door open. It's interesting how people come up with these--superstitions?--about snow days and other things. "Don't jinx it!" I heard people say in the hall today. Yeah, whatever.
I think I may stay up for a while and work on my painting. That sounds like a good idea. I'll sleep-in tomorrow morning. Oh, that'll be so nice! And then I'll go skiing around my neighborhood (cross-country).
